You will apply modern synthetic technologies to prepare structurally complex molecules and design synthesis of high value building blocks, intermediates, and macrocycles. Perform multi-step organic synthesis, purification, and characterization using NMR, HPLC, and LCMS. Evaluate state-of-the-art methodologies for novel chemical structures.

Requirements

Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry
Expertise in the synthesis, purification, and characterization of complex organic small molecules including methodology development and reaction optimization
Competence with modern spectroscopic methods (NMR and HPLC-MS); experience maintaining instruments highly preferred
Knowledge of safe laboratory practices, including proper procedures for handling chemicals and samples
Strong awareness of safety of chemicals and reactions
Proven scientific and technical ability to design synthetic routes, product purification, chemistry optimization, analysis, and data presentation
Broad experience in purification techniques such as recrystallization and chromatography
Highly motivated and self-driven with ability to work independently and multi-task under aggressive timelines

Responsibilities

Apply modern synthetic technologies in the preparation of structurally complex molecules
Design, synthesis, purification and characterization of high value building blocks, intermediates, and macrocycles
Evaluate and implement state-of-the-art synthetic methodologies for novel chemical structures
Perform multi-step organic synthesis of chemical intermediates and products
Utilize analytical instrumentation (NMR / HPLC / LCMS) for product analysis and characterization
Manage work assignments productively and deliver high-quality results consistently
Maintain excellent laboratory records and write reports and research summaries
Effective written communication for patent filings, company reports, and scientific publications
