About this role

The Department of Chemistry invites applications for part-time lecturer positions for the AY 2025-2026. All positions are for one semester in the first instance with the possibility of renewal as department needs require. Instructors are expected to utilize Blackboard for course management.

Instructors submit a course syllabus, order textbooks or other reading materials, and provide developmentally meaningful feedback via Blackboard. They present engaging learning experiences and respond to students in a timely manner. Regular communication with the designated academic program director is required.

Instructors submit final grades within university deadlines and comply with all university requirements. The salary is based on a per-credit-hour value. Applicants should include a CV and any evidence of teaching experience and ability.

Requirements

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field
  • Teaching experience
  • Evidence of teaching experience and ability
  • Familiarity with learning management systems like Blackboard
  • Ability to develop course syllabi for chemistry courses
  • Proficiency in delivering chemistry lectures and labs
