Perform experiments supporting research activities in the Medicinal Chemistry department under general supervision. Operate scientific equipment, select methods and techniques, analyze data, and document findings in an electronic notebook. Plan and organize details of experiments daily.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future or CPT/OPT through your University
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program at an accredited US-based university or college
  • Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in undergrad
  • Enrolled full-time in the Fall Semester at an accredited university/college after the internship
  • Able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between May and August
  • Able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship

Responsibilities

  • Perform experiments that support research activities in the Medicinal Chemistry department under general supervision
  • Operate scientific equipment, select appropriate methods and techniques to perform experiments
  • Analyze data and document findings in an electronic notebook
  • Plan and organize details of experiments
  • Participate in group meetings
  • Present data, results and conclusions
  • Showcase work with a final presentation (PPT) near the conclusion of the internship
