About this role

Syngenta Group seeks a 6-months student intern in Process Technology. Focus on development and optimization of synthetic methods for manufacture of intermediates and active ingredients. Investigate and analyze challenging chemical reactions to support scale-up and process operations.

Conceive, plan, prioritize, and execute technical and research projects efficiently. Seek, retrieve, and analyze critical information. Apply knowledge creatively to solve problems while maintaining state-of-the-art chemistry knowledge.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in organic chemistry
  • Strong background in catalysis, synthetic organic chemistry, and laboratory techniques with extensive practical experience in a chemistry research lab
  • General analytical knowledge including Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy, Infrared Spectroscopy, Liquid Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry
  • Fluency in English language (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work independently while interacting in multidisciplinary teams
  • Proven organizational and social skills
  • Courage to overcome challenges
  • Interest to work in a process development environment and learn new techniques
