AbbVie seeks a motivated PhD intern with experience in synthetic organic chemistry and reaction development. The intern will develop next-generation chemical processes for late-stage and commercial small-molecule assets. This centers on a collaborative effort between PDS&T and Process Chemistry.
The intern will be responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing the results of experiments to develop process improvements to commercial processes. Requirements
- PhD candidate with experience in synthetic organic chemistry
- Experience in reaction development
- Motivated to work on chemical processes for small-molecule assets
- Skilled in planning and executing laboratory experiments
- Ability to analyze experimental results
- Knowledge of process improvements in commercial processes
- Proficiency in organic synthesis techniques
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical process chemistry
