Requirements

  • Completed Master's degree in chemistry or a closely related field required; Ph.D. preferred
  • College-level teaching experience preferred
  • Strong content knowledge in organic chemistry
  • Interest in teaching undergraduate laboratory courses
  • Strong commitment to undergraduate laboratory instruction
  • Ability to adhere to federal, state, and institutional safety protocols

Responsibilities

  • Teach one or more laboratory sections of Organic Chemistry for Biochemistry and Chemistry majors
  • Facilitate pre-designed hands-on experiments that reinforce and support lecture material
  • Guide student learning through laboratory activities
  • Ensure safe laboratory practices during sessions
  • Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and institutional safety and waste disposal protocols
  • Supervise students enrolled in both lab and lecture courses
