About this role

The primary teaching responsibilities for this position will include instruction of undergraduate Organic Chemistry laboratory and lecture courses as well as potential instruction of General Chemistry courses. This role offers the potential for pedagogical innovation in a collaborative team of experienced, pedagogy-driven faculty. It supports hands-on chemistry education at UMBC.

Day-to-day duties involve direct instruction in labs and lectures, fostering student understanding of organic chemistry concepts. Faculty will oversee graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants to ensure effective course delivery. Student assessment will be a key component of the role.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in chemistry or a related field (M.S. minimum required)
