The Process Chemistry department seeks a highly motivated chemist to support development, characterization, and commercialization of chemical manufacturing processes. Laboratory work involves diverse chemicals, modern manual and automated equipment, and analytical technologies. Non-lab tasks include experimental planning, data analysis, documentation, peer review, and development reports.
Operate in a collaborative and diverse team environment with urgency and strong communication skills. Work independently with minimal supervision on daily tasks. Review peer work to ensure quality and progress.

Requirements
- PhD degree in Chemistry with 3+ years of professional experience in pharma/biopharma industry; or MS degree in Chemistry with 7+ years of experience, or BS degree with 12+ years of experience
- Training in the field of organic synthesis, including synthetic methodology, catalysis, or total synthesis
- Demonstrably clear track record of both complex molecule synthesis and solving synthetic chemistry problems
- Experience in organic chemistry, organic synthesis, synthetic methodology, catalysis, total synthesis, physical organic chemistry, or flow chemistry
- Significant experience in chemical synthesis, compound purification, and analytical characterization including HPLC, MS, and NMR techniques
- Experience in process characterization, including Design of Experiments, fate and purge studies, and chemical marker preparation
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative and diverse team environment
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision of daily tasks
Responsibilities
- Provide laboratory-based support of process development, characterization, and commercialization of small molecule manufacturing processes
- Conduct laboratory work with a large variety of chemicals using diverse modern manual and automated equipment and analytical technology
- Perform experimental planning, data analysis, and experiment documentation
- Review peer work and write clear and concise development reports
- Design and execute new synthetic routes to novel compounds
- Conduct process characterization including Design of Experiments, fate and purge studies, and chemical marker preparation
- Synthesize complex molecules and solve synthetic chemistry problems
