About this role

The Synthetic Chemist II designs, validates, and implements synthesis projects in organic synthesis, peptide synthesis, bioconjugation, purification, and characterization of compounds of interest. This role supports team objectives within the Consumer Products Services Division's ATL department. It reports to the General Manager or Director on an hourly basis.

Day-to-day work involves maintaining accurate record keeping, performing independent data analyses, and reporting results in written and oral formats. Chemists critically evaluate data, troubleshoot synthesis issues, and ensure compliance with client policies. They follow good documentation practices and notebooking standards.

Synthetic Chemists work closely with senior scientists to achieve research milestones in a flexible, team-oriented lab environment. They collaborate within cross-functional project teams and adhere to company Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental policies. Compliance with regulatory agencies and management systems is essential.

This position offers opportunities to function independently while delivering quality results in a timely manner. Strong skills in communication, data presentation, and relationship-building support ongoing contributions. Instrument maintenance and organizational proficiency enhance lab operations.

Responsibilities

Benefits

  • Hourly compensation range: $36.00 - $41.00 per hour
  • Typically Monday through Friday, forty-hours per week
