About this role

As Development Chemist, you will drive innovation in lubricants at a renowned specialty manufacturer. Focus on researching and optimizing new lubricating oils and greases through targeted experiments and analysis. Your role combines lab work with strategic market insights to enhance product performance.

Day-to-day involves conducting tests to analyze and improve lubricant products under real conditions. Plan and execute test series, create technical documentation, and maintain formulations in the ERP system. Provide application support by solving customer-specific lubricant challenges with tailored solutions.

Collaborate closely with external research institutions like universities on joint projects. Work in a collegial, open environment that values team ability and communication. Coordinate with technical support and production for process optimizations.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Chemical Technology
  • Engagement and willingness to learn
  • Ability to present technical content understandably and convincingly
  • Basic knowledge in Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering, plus secure handling of common Office programs
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel
  • Team ability and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop new lubricant formulas through research to optimize and develop new lubricating oils and greases
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and tests to analyze and improve lubricant products
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and reports on research results
  • Collaborate with external research institutions to coordinate and conduct joint research projects with universities and others
  • Provide application technology support to solve specific lubricant problems and develop customized customer solutions
  • Plan and conduct test series to verify performance of new and existing products under real conditions
  • Analyze market trends and competitor products to identify new research focuses
  • Maintain and manage lubricant formulations in the ERP system
