Understand and effectively conduct laboratory experiments utilizing established internal and existing literature procedures with supervision. Remain current in organic synthesis. Prepare, scale up and purify new compounds and known compounds for in vitro and in vivo evaluation.

Maintain an accurate and current lab notebook and analytical data, recording all necessary information. Share information about results and status of work in an accurate, timely and proactive manner within lab team. Understand infrastructure of chemistry department and neighboring disciplines and know whom to contact to find solutions.

Requirements

  • Master or PhD candidate in organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry
  • Current knowledge in organic synthesis
  • Ability to conduct laboratory experiments with supervision
  • Basic working knowledge of reaction databases
  • Understanding of proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Ability to fully characterize synthesized molecules

Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory experiments utilizing established internal and existing literature procedures with supervision
  • Remain current in organic synthesis
  • Prepare, scale up and purify new compounds and known compounds for in vitro and in vivo evaluation
  • Ensure availability of all experimental materials
  • Maintain an accurate and current lab notebook and analytical data
  • Utilize basic working knowledge of reaction databases
  • Fully characterize synthesized molecules
  • Share information about results and status of work accurately, timely and proactively within lab team
