Grand Canyon University's College of Natural Sciences seeks passionate adjunct faculty to teach part-time, face-to-face instruction at the Phoenix campus. The General and Organic Chemistry Lab course reinforces and expands learning of principles introduced in the lecture course.
Faculty facilitate classroom lectures and discussions, engaging students in learning course objectives and topics. They assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom, providing a positive example by supporting the University's mission.

Requirements
- Master's degree in any field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Chemistry (minimum)
- Master's or Doctorate in Chemistry (preferred)
- Unofficial transcripts reflecting degree and 18 graduate credit hours required for application
- Demonstrated expertise in general and organic chemistry principles
- Commitment to fostering student growth academically and personally
- Ability to provide a positive example consistent with GCU's mission
Responsibilities
- Facilitate classroom lectures and discussions
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
- Provide a positive example by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission
- Prepare and set up laboratory experiments and materials for each session
- Supervise students during lab activities to ensure safety and proper technique
- Grade lab reports and provide constructive feedback
